The pallu is the showstopper. A cream border scene runs along the edge, painted in the style of a Rajasthani miniature, with a horseback rider, ladies in a palace pavilion, dancers and lush trees. Hand-stitched detailing lifts each figure off the fabric, and a patterned red-and-cream border finishes the edge. The Bemberg crepe is smooth, fluid and drapes in soft folds.
